Book Review #2: The Lost Hero
I read the book The Lost Hero written by Rick Riordan. There are three main charectors. Their names are Jason (son of Zues), Piper (daughter of Aphrodite), and Leo (son of Hephaetus). Throught the book these characters are trying to free Hera (godess of marriage) who is locked up in a jail. Throught their quest they battle cyclops, venti (evil storm spirites), and Gaea. Jason is trying to cope with memory loss. While Piper is trying to seperate dream from reality. She isn't sure anything is real, thanks to the mist. The mist wipes out all memory and replaces it with dreams. In the end they free Hera and they will have to defeat Porphyrion another day.
One of the main themes of the book is to be able to have eachothers backs. The first example of this theme is shown when Piper and Leo have to free Hera from the cage but Jason has to have their back while fighting Pophyrion. The second example is when Jason and Leo are under a spell and they have to be able to trust Piper while she breaks the spell. The final example of the theme is shown when Leo has to get Piper free of the cyclops that tied her to the tracks. To get her free Leo hotwired a crane and fought all three cyclops with little help from Jason who was knocked out cold. So you need to be able to trust others around you.
I would recommend this book to other 7th grade readers because it's a great book. The suspense is filled up all the way to the end. There is a sequel called The Son if Neptune. Some other books that Rick wrote were the Percy Jackson series, and the Kane Cronical series. I would love to recommend this book to other people.

5 paragraph essay- There should be no homework
I think there should be no homework because, its too much work. If we don't have homework it will save trees. Also, athletes don't have the time. I think teachers give
too much homework. Homework is not worth our time.
Firstly, if the teachers don't print off paper they will save trees. If you waste trees you waste our oxygen. If we don't have oxygen we can't live. If we don't have trees
we could die. So save trees and don't have homework.
Also, athletes don't have the time. Athletes have to keep focus on the game. If they get stressed on their grades they could lose. If they lose the game the whole
school is let down. Therefore, athletes shouldn't have to do homework.
Lastly, teachers give too much homework. Kids have other stuff besides piles of homework. Some parents will get mad at us for not doing chores. If you get in trouble
you would end up getting mad at your parents. Ask your teachers to give you less.
Homework isn't worth doing. You could save trees. Plus, athletes don't have the time. Teachers give way to much. So, take a stand and protest against homework.

Hattie the best spy there ever was!
When I grow up I think I'd make a great spy. I've always enjoyed creeping around quietly. One of my favorite things to do is play with fireworks. I even have some experience at blowing stuff up. I'm really good at balancing, I like to wear black and I have experience blowing stuff up therefore, I will be the best spy that ever was!
Agility has always come naturally to me. There was that time when I did twenty cartwheels in a row. I'm always flipping around doing flips. Whenever I do a cartwheel, I feel like I am unstoppable. Being able to do a cartwheel is the first step along the path to becoming a spy.
Wearing black is another thing I really enjoy. It's so exciting to pretend like you blend in. When I'm wearing black I feel like I'm invisible. I am to wearing black what a ninja is to fighting. Being able to wear black for the rest of my life would be awesome!
Blowing stuff up takes a special talent. I gained a lot of experience at blowing small stuff up. I learned a lot about the safety of explosions. For example, I always practice being safe with fireworks. The time i spent playing with fireworks is sure to give me an advantage when it comes to becoming a spy.
The three most imprtant ingredients required in order to become a successful spy are agility, wearing black, and the experience and safety of explosions, and I've got them all! I want to be the best spy there ever was. I'm never so happy as when I'm in the midst of action. It's like Jason said, "You will be a great spy." When I become a spy, I will save people, and thats why I'll be the best spy there ever was.

Perfect Paragraph Practice: Isreal Should Not Attack Iran
It would be really bad if Isreal attacked Iran. If they attacked Iran then a lot of people
would die. If both had nuclear bombs there would be a huge problem. Iran would probably
bring the U.S.A. into war, and we wouldn't want to get involved. Even if Iran had nuclear
bombs, they more than likely wouldn't use them. I think Isreal should not attack Iran.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner
The Maze Runner is an excellent book written by James
Dashner. It's about a boy named Thomas that is sent into
The glade. A couple of days later another person comes up
into the glade, which has never happened more than once a
month. This time they discover it’s a girl. Thomas, the girl, and the rest of the gladers have to find a way out before time runs out, and before all the boys get killed. They find a way out, through the griever hole, but the only problem is they have to fight their way out, but few will survive. They make an escape plan and every man is for themselves. In the end lots of lives were lost, one special promise was broken, and they make it out and get to discover there hidden lives.
The theme of the book is to trust others that aren't that close or you might be killed. Some examples of the theme is Thomas and all of the other gladers have to learn to trust Theresa, another example is Gally has to learn to trust Thomas and Theresa, and he wouldn't trust them so he ended up getting killed. The last example is all of the gladers had to trust Thomas, Theresa, and the head keepers because they were trying to lead them to safty. The gladers that didn't trust them were eventually killed.
